The strong belief in the Project’s ideals and
commitment of the national coordinators ( regional
team) to contribute positively and concretely to the
promotion of adolescent reproductive health : at the
end of each training activity , whether regional,
sub-regional; national or local , each group / or
BS/GG leader established a plan of action to be
carried out by him/herself or his/her group. These
personal plans were discussed and approved. These
personal plans/commitment provided a sense of
ownership and responsibility for action At the next
meeting, a report on the achievement of personal plans
was presented and evaluated;
The inherent qualities of the scouting movement :
voluntarism, leadership development, community
development; and peer support . All this contributed
to produce the multiplier effect at no cost for the
Project.
The dedication of the Regional Project Coordinator to
the Project. Mr. Fathi Farghali, Director of Community
Development at the Arab Scout Organization/ Arab
Regional Office of the World Organization of the
Scout, who assumed this task voluntarily, in addition
his many other responsibilities;
The quality of technical support and inputs, both from
UNFPA and WHO/EMRO, as well as the participatory
nature of activities, drawing upon the participants
own resources, provided the occasion for every
participant to present his/her views and opinions and
to reach consensus on sensitive issues.
The active support provided by partner BS/GG
associations to the Project thanks to the sincere and
continuos efforts of the regional team which led to
the integration of adolescent health, including ARH,
in the BS/GG programs and activities. |
