promotion
First: The 22nd Arab Scout Congress, held in Qatar (Doha)
in 1988, gave its blessing to the Project in view of the
importance of the role that the Scout Movement should
assume in meeting the RH needs of young people in the
region. The President of the 22nd Congress provided strong
support to the

Project and attended regional activities
whenever he was Egypt at the International Scouting Center
where regional activities were organized.

trained Boy Scout and Girl Guide Commissioners/ Focal
Points from Jordan (5 BS/5 GG), United Arab Emirates ( 3
BS/ 2 GG), Bahrain ( 3 BS/ 2 GG), Tunisia ( 3 BS/ 4 GG),
Sudan ( 3 BS/2 GG), Morocco (3 BS/ 1 GG), Lebanon ( 2 BS/
5 GG), and West Bank and Gaza ( 2BS/2 GG). It is to be
noted that Palestinians withdrew from the network due to
their special circumstances and were replaced by Lebanon.

adopted Adolescent Reproductive Health and incorporated it
in their regular current educational and community
development programs. RH committees have been established
at the central national and local levels .
